Now that Thanksgiving dinner is done, and hopefully someone else has cleaned up the mess (fingers crossed), it’s time to think about Christmas. For many, this means the dreaded Black Friday crowds to get the latest video game, Barbie, or vacuum. If you are one of those, I have a few pointers on the food aspect of your very long night and morning.
You know you are going to be exhausted and quite frankly your wallet may be a little slim, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat yourself. Nerdwallet reveal great deals for meals this Black Friday…Black Friday 2015 restaurant specials
“Shopping on Black Friday proper? You’ll have more restaurants — and restaurant specials — to choose from.
Seafood lovers can get a free appetizer or dessert at Red Lobster this Black Friday by registering for the Fresh Catch Club. And as on any weekday afternoon, Red Lobster’s 7 at $7.99 lunch deals will be in effect.
Black Friday shoppers can save at TGI Fridays by signing up for a TGI Fridays Stripes club membership. The program is free, and within minutes of entering, you’ll receive an email coupon for a free appetizer or dessert. You also get a “skip the line” coupon, which might come in handy if you stop by a busy location on Black Friday. The free appetizer or dessert deal makes for a nice holiday shopping treat, but it’s also available year-round.
Buca di Beppo
Buca di Beppo’s giant pasta dishes will comfort you after a long day on your feet. You and your party can get a free plate of bucannoli — a meaty version of the popular dessert featuring savory sausage instead of a creamy filling — by registering for the Buca di Beppo eClub before Nov. 30.
Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet
If you’re in the mood for pizza on Black Friday, head to Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet. The chain is offering a 10% off coupon good for everything you order through Nov. 30.
Burger fans can score at Carl’s Jr. on Black Friday. Print the restaurant’s coupons for $1 off a Tex Mex Bacon Thickburger Combo and a free small peach papaya green sweetened iced tea to wash it down.
Some of these restaurant deals require signing up for a rewards membership, but these clubs are always free. You can sign up on your smartphone right before you walk into the restaurant and receive an email verification within minutes — as long as the deal doesn’t require printing a coupon in advance. And while you’re enjoying your Black Friday meal, you can check our complete list of Black Friday ad scans to plot the rest of your shopping excursion.”
I have found, in my experience, that many coffee shops either stay open or have extended hours on Black Friday. My brother works at Peet’s coffee and he mentioned that they will be opening in the wee hours of the morning in some locations. Perfect to get you going so you can fight for those much needed discounts. Whether you choose to stay home or go out, check out deals around you to eat something different the day after Turkey Day.
