Here’s a little tidbit published at http://www.millennialmarketing.com/2013/04/chic-fil-a-kfc-and-mcdonalds-update-menus-to-attract-gen-y/ and posted by Jeff Fromm. Good read. Food for thought. Punsters that we are.
“In the past month, several QSRs and fast casual restaurants have announced menu changes targeted toward Millennials. Chick-fil-A is the latest to join the trend. The chain is adding more healthy options to its menu in hopes of attracting Gen Y. According to USA Today, Chick-fil-A will be adding three salads including the Grilled Market Salad, Asian Salad and Cobb Salad. Each one is fewer than 430 calories. Chick-fil-A wraps are also getting a healthy upgrade and will feature tortillas made with flax bread. Chick-fil-A’s menu additions come on the heels of KFC’s announcement about boneless chicken wings. KFC’s boneless chicken wings are targeting ‘ultra-finicky’ Millennials, according to USA Today.” Us? Ultra-finicky? We think not. Sniff sniff.
